The Quality Coordinator is an exceptionally organized, methodical professional with the experience necessary to take our company to the next level with respect to Radiology Quality. The Quality Coordinator is responsible for work associated with the EQUIP mammography program, the Medical Peer Review Committee, Radiology Associates Peer Review/Peer Learning programs, Physician Compliance, Radiology Quality Audits, Merit Based Incentive Program (MIPS), Process Improvement, and other tasks as assigned. The Quality Coordinator works to achieve targeted quality improvement opportunities to ensure that the company’s quality standards are consistently maintained. The Quality Coordinator understands quality methodologies and implements assigned tasks to improve patient safety and care.

The Quality Coordinator is responsible for work associated with the EQUIP mammography program, the Medical Peer Review Committee, Radiology Associates Peer Review/Peer Learning programs, Physician Compliance, Radiology Quality Audits, Merit Based Incentive Program (MIPS), Process Improvement, and other tasks as assigned. The Quality Coordinator works to achieve targeted quality improvement opportunities to ensure that the company’s quality standards are consistently maintained. The Quality Coordinator understands quality methodologies and implements assigned tasks to improve patient safety and care.

Essential Functions:

  • ·Perform tasks associated with Mammography EQUIP Image Quality Reviews
  • Collect facility MQSA/FDA inspection reports
  • Audit physicians on mammography facility license
  • Assist physicians with completion of Image Quality Reviews
  • Prepare and finalize EQUIP reports and distribute to facilities
  • Maintain facility Mammography records
  • Onboarding of new physicians and training on EQUIP process
  • ·Perform tasks associated with the Quality Tracker Application
  • Maintain staff roles in application and ensure accuracy before generating reports
  • Train Lead Interpreting Physicians (LIP) and LIP reviewers on Quality Tracker application
  • Work with new facilities on the implementation and training of the EQUIP procedures
  • Provide ongoing oversight of Quality Tracker application to ensure continuous improvement
  • Perform tasks associated with Medical Peer Review
  • Monitor Peer Review email
  • Prepare submitted imaging studies for Medical Peer Review Committee
  • Acquire medical records for each case required for the MPRC
  • Fax or email requests for medical records to facilities.
  • Submit form to courier for pick up.
  • Upload images from CD to PACS Enter reports in case file
  • Utilize any other tools for image acquisition
  • Verify completion of file on each patient for the MPRC
  • Perform tasks associated with Medical Peer Review Committee (MPRC)
  • Support MPRC Chairman in administrative duties
  • Schedule meetings in the Committee Tracker application
  • Send notifications to physicians and verify quorum
  • Order catering for meetings and send invoices to accounting
  • Create and distribute MPRC letters to physicians and facilities
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient records and MPRC proceedings
  • Prepare MPRC meeting minutes and log attendance
  • Performs tasks associated with Quality Audits
  • Critical results, solid organ grading, rib fracture, and addendum audit
  • Monitors and routinely completes assigned quality audits
  • Ongoing review of Quality Audit process to identify areas for improvement to optimize workflows
  • ·Assist with scheduling meetings for Section Chairs and Peer Learning Committee
  • Monitor Peer Learning Administrative dashboard for peer learning submissions and case acknowledgement
  • Provide support and reminders to encourage physician participation
  • Assists Peer Learning Coordinator in performing assigned tasks for Peer Learning
  • Provide training and ongoing support for physician’s related to the Peer Learning application
  • Create and distribute Peer Learning reporting to Facility contacts in a timely manner according to a predetermined schedule
  • · Perform tasks associated with the CMS Merit-based Incentive Payment System (MIPS)
  • Provide MIPS training and education on Quality Measures for physicians and/or business staff
  • Monitor provider compliance and implement targeted corrective action
  • Respond to requests regarding provider performance
  • Perform tasks associated with Onboarding new Physicians and Facilities
  • Assist with the maintenance of physician and facility lists for the Quality Department and Operations
  • Assist with physician and APP orientation
  • Support department and company goals
  • Make recommendation and/or suggestions to improve procedures and efficiency
  • Manage the acquisition of Data Exchange Agreements and complete annual audit

Qualifications:

  • Analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with experience collecting, organizing, analyzing data
  • Bachelors Degree preferred

Experience:

  • 3 years in the healthcare industry.
  • Medical terminology experience preferred.
  • Radiology experience preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of quality assurance terminology, methods, and tools
  • Ability to understand, interpret and communicate data
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
