Spine Health & Pain Management

If you are experiencing vertebral compression fractures (VCF), spine tumors, or knee osteoarthritis, our interventional radiologists may be able to improve your quality of life immensely.

Spine tumors can be treated with radiofrequency ablation or cryoablation, a targeted method for tumor destruction while providing significant pain relief. Additionally, vertebral augmentation is used to treat VCFs caused by osteoporosis or trauma by restoring bone height and solidifying the vertebrae. Until recently, the primary treatment course for vertebral compression fractures was to rest, wear a back brace, and take pain medication. However, new CMS guidance now recommends vertebral augmentation as the first-line treatment option for most patients suffering from debilitating compression fractures. Genicular artery embolization is an excellent treatment option for those with knee osteoarthritis, addressing the underlying inflammation causing pain.

Our interventional radiologists can perform these procedures in our covered hospitals or outpatient settings, significantly reducing pain almost immediately. Contact us if you want to learn more or believe you are a candidate for any of these minimally invasive pain management options.
